In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
